New Direction

Style evolves and adapts. It’s the one constantly inconstant thing that is innate in every aesthetically driven person.

I came to WordPress a year ago with the very lighthearted and clear intention of starting a blog where I could share amazing stuff (or at least stuff that was amazing to me) on the internet for friends, followers and random people to see, but after a few months into blogging I started to question the relevance of it all. Was I really doing justice to adding content to the internet even with my limited audience or was I simply creating another small time version of Hypebeast, SlamxHype, Honyee etc., did I really want to be that asian Hypebeast with a “fashion” and “arts” blog? Not really. So with that my posts became less frequent and my motivation as a “blogger” faded until I completely forgot about my beloved pseudonym.

Now as I sit here in my room cozily wrapped in my beautifully aged grey hoodie and with a boring re-run of a documentary on the history channel I was struck with a literal epiphany.. I want to restart my love for writing. To reintroduce myself to the simplicity of words and the vulgarity of unfiltered ideas. Though I still love mens fashion, food and luxury I want to take a more analytical approach to the overall concept of a design blog. Rarely is there an avenue where one can truly discuss ones opinion so I will take this opportunity to voice out my thoughts on design, to step out of the conformity of having blogs, celebrities and magazines tell me what I should like and actually understand why I really like what I like.

So to you who ever reads this post and who continues to actually read my blog this is a promise from me to make this blog more than just a Hypebeast wannabe, that I won’t be posting pics from websites anymore and giving my half-assed two cents on it, rather I’ll be cataloguing the amazing aesthetics I encounter in my everyday life and maybe add some value to the way I see and appreciate it. I’m not promising I’ll post more but I am promising I’ll post better.

Thank You

Merry Christmas!

The palette includes khaki, stone, sand and indigo, complimented with an updated classic collection of greys and blues. The suits were styled with slim fitting, collarless shirts and Superga trainers.

I love this! The camo is stylish and subtle a perfect blend that is rarely achieved by the two iconic Japanese brands. Don’t get me wrong they always make great stuff but if you want something that is well designed but not too loud then these are a must cop.

Amazing looks from Junya Watanabe’s Fall Winter 2011 line. Great looks from this season the patterned knitted varsity jacket looks great! heavy with the design but subtle enough for everyday wear.

Rolf Dino: 41 Eyeglasses

This is a work of art.

Wooden eyeglasses are no doubt a statement piece as is but Rolf Dino upped the ante and added a thin layer of stone to the outer frame of this wonderfully unique eyewear. It looks incredible.
